A weekend full of adrenaline
Basella Race 2023 will be a weekend full of competition and action that will start on Saturday morning with a reconnaissance lap by all participants. Then it will give way to the Kids and Mixtrail races on Saturday afternoon and the awaited Xtreme race event.
On Sunday, the main race will take place, a cross-country race in which all participants, regardless of their category, will start at the same starting gun.
The event has decided to place the non-competitive Fans category on Saturday, next to the reconnaissance lap. At this point, participants who do not wish to take part in the official event will be able to enjoy a tour of the course in the form of an excursion, with the sole aim of having fun. In addition, the Trail category will benefit from an adapted route with roadbook navigation. This route consists of about 100 kilometres of track and it is not necessary to have a federative licence to take part, as insurance is included in the same registration fee.
On the other hand, the Maxitrail Race is the most eagerly awaited race-spectacle on Saturday afternoon. It is reserved for licensed riders and twin-cylinder motorbikes only. The race lasts 15 minutes on an easy and wide track, on a closed circuit designed for the show.
E-bike experience, another novelty for 2023
Apart from the joint start of all the participants, this year another novelty has been added to the Basella Race. Thanks to the collaboration of this event with the sponsor Michelin, a new category has been added, only for those people who want to participate with their electric mountain bike.
This new event has been named E-bike experience and consists of a route of 46 kilometres, without competition that will take place during the day on Saturday. The event will also be attended by Downhill Bicitor Duran, the Spanish Enduro Champion and other professional riders of this speciality.
